Welcome to the Dane County Fire Chief’s Association web site.
The DCFCA membership is made up of Fire Chiefs from the 28 fire department in Dane County as well as 4 fire departments outside of Dane County that serve area with-in Dane County. The Association also has many associate members made up of organizations that work closely with the fire service in Dane County.
The objectives of this Association are to provide a forum for the County Fire Chiefs for the purpose of improving fire protection through department cooperation, mutual-aid and the establishment of uniform operation guidelines within the county. Also provide a forum for recommending changes to state and local legislation as it pertains to all or part of fire department response to emergency and non-emergency incidents.
Our Association members have worked hard over the years to dedicate themselves to public safety. Some of most recent initiatives we have been involved in are, the Dane County Decontamination Initiative, Fire Safety House, the Dane County Radio System Operability Initiative and the State of Wisconsin MABAS implementation.
The men and women who are the firefighters in Dane County are very proud of the service they provide. The fire stations that they work out of are their second homes. The firefighters they work with are their extended families.
Please feel free to visit your local fire station, get to know these people serving you, they are a great bunch
Respectfully,
Marty W. Lamers, President
Dane County Fire Chiefs Association
